I love that March is a month to celebrate and recognize women, and in my studio, I get to do that every day!

But since it’s Women’s History Month, I thought it would be fun to highlight some of the amazing  women who have graciously stepped in front of my camera. I’m also sharing how boudoir photography has been a form of therapy for myself and my clients.

So, if you’re one of my clients reading this, just know that it was an honor to photograph you, show you how beautiful you are, and help you feel empowered for your photoshoot.

The Women Who Inspire Me: A Look at My Boudoir Photography Clients

As an Arkansas boudoir portrait photographer, I’ve had the privilege of creating a safe space for some truly inspiring women. From survivors of abuse to women who simply want to celebrate their bodies. I feel grateful to be a part of these women’s journeys.

Each client has a unique story and reason to want boudoir portraits taken of herself.

For some, it’s a way to love their changing body.

For others, it’s been a way of reclaiming their power.

And sometimes, it’s just because they want to feel sexy as hell, and I’m here for it all!

I’m continually amazed by the women I get to photograph. And I’ll never tire of creating safe spaces for these gorgeous women to explore all sides and aspects of themselves.

How Boudoir Photography Empowers Women

As a sexual assault survivor, I found boudoir photography incredibly empowering. It was a way for me to transform something traumatic into something beautiful. I returned to it after my son's birth, when I struggled to love my changing body.

To put it simply, boudoir photography is therapeutic.

I see my very personal story reflected in the lives of my clients, too. It’s part of why I’m so passionate about my work. When women transform their vulnerability into power, something magical happens. And I get to be a part of that change!

You might be thinking, “How can boudoir photography help women change?” and it’s pretty simple.

Women have been objectified (for the male gaze) and held up against unrealistic beauty standards for far too long. Boudoir photography allows women to take control of their sexuality in a way that feels empowering for them.

Capturing Confidence: The Beauty of Boudoir Photography and Self-Love

Is there anything that feels better than feeling confident in your own skin? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

When you step in front of my camera, I’m not just taking photos of you. I’m capturing transformational moments of self-love. I encourage you to touch, feel, and soak into your body. And what you walk away with are gorgeous, stunning, sexy photos of yourself and a renewed confidence that’ll have you on cloud freaking nine!
