Why Bridal Boudoir Photography?

Look, I know wedding planning might have you spinning in circles before your big day. Which is why I see bridal boudoir photography as a two-fold positive experience.

First, your boudoir photoshoot is a chance to take a day off wedding planning and focus on YOU!

You’ll have a customized photoshoot that includes luxurious touches and professional hair and makeup. You’ll also have full access to our client closet with over 300 pieces of gorgeous lingerie to choose from. It's a full day of pampering that'll have you leaving feeling sexy as hell, as you should, babe.

Secondly, bridal boudoir photos make are a one of kind (aka UNIQUE) gift!

Make your partner go wild with anticipation with a surprise on the morning of your wedding day! I’ll share more on this later.

Next, let’s talk about what to wear (or not!) for your bridal boudoir photos!

What to Wear for Bridal Boudoir Photos

Here’s a unique take on bridal boudoir photography  - don’t wear all white!

Brides are leaning more and more into non-traditional weddings…so why not let that translate into your bridal boudoir photos?

I’m a fan of variety and showing your personality in your photos. Your photos should showcase your beauty and what’s unique to you. This could be pops of your favorite color, hints of blue, personalized robes, and of course, your garter and veil.

My beautiful client in this post, Kendall, brought in her customized jacket, and it added a level of personalization AND uniqueness to her photos.

This is a perfect example of personalizing your bridal boudoir photos. This is completely unique to Kendall, and it adds a level of personalization to her final album!

What to wear for your bridal boudoir photography session:

  • Lingerie you plan to wear the night of your wedding or during your honeymoon.
  • Wedding dress
  • Accessories: Veil, Garter, Heels
  • Bridal robe
  • Partner’s shirt (button-up dress shirts or oversized jersey are awesome!)
  • Sentimental jewelry
  • Wrap up in a sheet
  • Use my client closet items! We have over 300 amazing pieces in sizes XS - 4XL.

Remember, the most important thing is to choose something that makes you feel confident and sexy.

And don't be afraid to get creative and have fun with your bridal boudoir outfit choices!

Now, let’s take a look at how you can build up some anticipation with your spicy boudoir photos as gifts!

Bridal Boudoir Photography: The Perfect Wedding Gift for Your Future Spouse

Bridal boudoir photos are the ultimate unique wedding gift to give your partner. Kinda like writing a love note, a one of a kind gift that can’t be ordered on a whim. And gifting boudoir photos on the day of you wedding builds up anticipation for your wedding night!

Most of my clients purchase an album for their future spouses. Our albums are printed on archival paper (meaning they’ll last forever) and are customized in your choice of cover materials and personalized messages. But we also have other custom items, like our cool retro viewfinders! These are a fun and unique twist on a wedding gift for your partner’s eyes only.

Speaking of your partner’s eyes only - if you gift boudoir photos on your wedding day, make sure they open the gift privately without any wedding party members around. Or wait until your honeymoon and enjoy it together. You really can’t go wrong either way.

If your partner is up for it, past boudoir clients are welcome to come back in for a couple’s session together! If this is something you’re interested in, check out this blog post on couples boudoir shoots!
